We look forward to serving you and your pharmacy needs. Please stop in at any time. We are located at 950 Broadway Brooklyn NY 11221, right off the JMZ Myrtle/Broadway train station. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!We want you all to enjoy a happy and safe Halloween. Halloween, also known as “All Hallows’ Eve”, is a great excuse to get dressed up and go socialize!
In today’s day and age, Halloween costumes are extremely commercialized. You probably think of those plastic (or rubbery) masks that you can pick up at the nearest “pop-up” Halloween shop in the Mall. The nurse costume, the (movie villain from the 90’s) mask, the super hero or something funny like the adult baby.
But back in the day, there was the tradition of making your own costume. And by chance or maybe even by intention, the craftsmanship and look of those costumes goes far beyond scary by today’s standards. Creepy might be the better word for it. You’ll have to judge for yourself.
HERE ARE A FEW EXAMPLES OF HOMEMADE COSTUMES AND MASKS MADE IN THE EARLY 1900’S.
These sets of costumes are undoubtedly using paper mache as a crafting method. So If you really want to creep out your fellow party goers, whip up some last minute art skills and churn one of these babies out. Hope those we're inspiring examples. Btw, if you want more pictures like the above, check out THIS ARTICLE.
Once again, Happy Halloween and be safe out there!

Pharmacies are popping up all over the place. Especially in the busy areas of our neighborhoods. But choosing one is not always about location convenience or price. It’s about the customer experience. We are are happy to have some of the friendliest customers around, so we are pleased that they bring that out in us. Here are 5 reasons why you should always use a friendly pharmacist.
You’re going to have a relationship with them.
The professional kind. At some point you are going to realize that coming in to get your medicine is going to feel a little less like a chore. Just like in some way, you eventually become friends with your barista or your dentist’s assistant. These are people that you will see as part of your life routine, and it would be nice to develop a relationship with them that does resemble a transaction.
You’re going to exchange personal information about your health to them.
For certain. You are definitely going to have conversations with your pharmacist that you wouldn’t necessarily have with everyone. That’s the nature of what you are there for. Maybe you don’t want anyone else to know that you are there picking up medication for something like athlete’s foot. So having a friendly pharmacist will make it easier to feel confident that your information will stay private.
You’re going to have to deal with insurance companies together.
This is a big one. If you ever have problems with your insurance carrier, it’s good to have an industry expert on your side, especially a friendly one. Pharmacists are used to dealing with those companies so you might just luck out by having one of these guys (or gals) on your side. Things tend to get done quicker and more efficiently by someone who has had to deal with them on previous occasions.
You may encounter problems.
You may one day be really really sick. Hopefully this never happens, but if you’re in a situation like that, having and more importantly, knowing your pharmacist will help you big time. If you are down for the count for whatever reason, your pharmacist may even have delivery service for you in a time of need. So it helps to have our first point already in motion. A relationship.
You may need help with something other than filling a prescriptions.
Pharmacies tend to offer more than just prescriptions. Actually a lot of times, they have a wide variety of services available for your convenience. If you ever need to print a resume, or fax over official paperwork, they may have you covered. Having a friendly pharmacist can make you feel like you've got a professional resource at your fingertips. You should call your local pharmacy to see what they have to offer and whether or not you hit it off with their staff. It could mean getting hooked up one day when you're in a bind.
Here at MG Pharmacy we take pride giving you the most friendly service imaginable. We’re here to be a resource for you everyday, and look forward to any questions or request you may have. Customer service is a huge part of being successful in this industry and it will really separate the good companies from the bad ones. No one wants to feel like the guy they're getting their medicine from (and giving their money to) doesn't care about them as a person in the least bit. You know that feeling.

When it comes to prescriptions, most of us think of the basics. Antibiotics or something prescribed to us by doctors to fix something temporary. Though temporary things can be just as serious as permanent situations or conditions, there is a special category of drugs that exist to treat more complex situations.
Specialty drugs are drugs that require monitoring, special storing conditions, or administration techniques that go outside the scope of your typical pill. They may even require special permissions to acquire that category of drugs. We carry prescriptions for HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Asthma/COPD, ADHD, Pain Management, Diabetes & Blood Pressure, Psychotropic and much more. We're authorized and ready to provide any of these kinds of medications with a reliability and respect for privacy that will make you comfortable using us.
If you are looking for a local pharmacy in Brooklyn to start a relationship with, look no further. MG Pharmacy is deeply committed to each person and encourage you to come in or call us to find out how we can help with any of your specialty drug needs.
We even have programs that we can develop on a case by case basis that can help you get your medication without having to leave your house, or help with offsetting transportation accommodations. Call 347-915-2828 for details.

Labor Day, according to the US Department Of Labor, is a day dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American Workers. It's a celebration of all of the hard work that has contributed to this country's strength, prosperity and well being.
There is some difference of opinion as to who it was that actually began this holiday. Some say it was a gentleman by the name of Matthew Macguire from New York in 1882 and others attribute the idea to a Peter McGuire, then American Federation of Labor employee, also in 1882.
The celebrations began on the state level. Oregon was the first to officially acknowledge it as a state holiday on Feb 21st, 1887. About 30 more states were to follow in Oregon's footsteps. Shortly thereafter, Congress was willing to create legislation that made it a legal holiday, nation wide.
On June 28th, 1894, the bill to make Labor Day a national holiday, was passed.
At MG Pharmacy, we want to thank all the hard working people in America for their dedication. Our community grows strong because of people like you, that strive to make it a better place by innovating, creating, and working hard. We are proud to serve such a multicultural community of people, and strive to make us accessible to you on any level you can think of. Please take our thanks and know that we appreciate you.
