In today’s day and age, Halloween costumes are extremely commercialized. You probably think of those plastic (or rubbery) masks that you can pick up at the nearest “pop-up” Halloween shop in the Mall. The nurse costume, the (movie villain from the 90’s) mask, the super hero or something funny like the adult baby.
But back in the day, there was the tradition of making your own costume. And by chance or maybe even by intention, the craftsmanship and look of those costumes goes far beyond scary by today’s standards. Creepy might be the better word for it. You’ll have to judge for yourself.
