HAPPY HALLOWEEN!We want you all to enjoy a happy and safe Halloween. Halloween, also known as “All Hallows’ Eve”, is a great excuse to get dressed up and go socialize! In today’s day and age, Halloween costumes are extremely commercialized. You probably think of those plastic (or rubbery) masks that you can pick up at the nearest “pop-up” Halloween shop in the Mall. The nurse costume, the (movie villain from the 90’s) mask, the super hero or something funny like the adult baby. But back in the day, there was the tradition of making your own costume. And by chance or maybe even by intention, the craftsmanship and look of those costumes goes far beyond scary by today’s standards. Creepy might be the better word for it. You’ll have to judge for yourself. HERE ARE A FEW EXAMPLES OF HOMEMADE COSTUMES AND MASKS MADE IN THE EARLY 1900’S. These sets of costumes are undoubtedly using paper mache as a crafting method. So If you really want to creep out your fellow party goers, whip up some last minute art skills and churn one of these babies out. Hope those we're inspiring examples. Btw, if you want more pictures like the above, check out THIS ARTICLE.
Once again, Happy Halloween and be safe out there! Love, MG Pharmacy 950 Broadway Brooklyn NY 11221 347-915-2828 |
